Membership

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Dallas Metropolitan Chapter is a dynamic sisterhood of accomplished women united by a shared commitment to leadership, advocacy, and community impact. Through connections, professional development, and collective action, our members work to advance opportunities and improve outcomes for Black women and girls.

Membership Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for membership in the NC100BW Dallas Metropolitan Chapter, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Residency Requirement:
    Live within 100 mile radius of the NC100BW Dallas Metropolitan Chapter.
    *Use the chapter locator on the NCBW website to identify the nearest chapter to your physical address. Apply to the chapter that is closest to you.

  • Leadership Ability:
    Demonstrate actual or potential leadership skills in your professional or community endeavors.

  • Community Representation:
    Reflect key sectors of the community through your occupation, leadership roles, or other activities that contribute to the broader social, economic, or political landscape.

  • Resources for Chapter Programs:
    Be able to demonstrate the availability of key resources such as time, funding, connections, expertise, and a proven track record to support the NC100BW Chapter's programs and initiatives.

  • Reputation and Service:
    Maintain a good reputation and demonstrate a history of dependable, impactful community service.

  • Event Participation:
    Have attended at least one (1) NC100BW Dallas Metropolitan Membership Recruitment Event.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Find Your Place in Our Sisterhood

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Dallas Metropolitan Chapter brings together women committed to advocacy, leadership, sisterhood, and creating lasting community impact.

Membership is by invitation only and is extended to women who meet the organization's membership qualifications and successfully complete the established membership selection process. 

REGULAR MEMBERS

Lead. Advocate. Engage.

 Regular Membership is for women committed to actively participating in the Chapter's programs, advocacy initiatives, and organizational activities.

 Membership Responsibilities

  • Serve on a minimum of two (2) Chapter committees.

  • Attend at least seven (7) required general membership meetings annually.

  • Actively support Chapter programs and advocacy initiatives.

  • Maintain membership in good standing.

 Membership Benefits

  • Full voting privileges in Chapter affairs for members in good standing.

  • Opportunities for leadership development and organizational involvement.

  • Professional networking and sisterhood connections.

  • Participation in initiatives that advance the interests of Black women and girls.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Stay Connected. Make an Impact.

Associate Membership is designed for women who fully support the Chapter's objectives, policies, and procedures but whose personal or professional commitments may limit their ability to attend regular membership meetings or participate in committee activities.

This membership category offers a more flexible way to stay engaged in the Chapter's mission and advocacy initiatives.

Membership Responsibilities

  • Support the Chapter's objectives, policies, and procedures.

  • Participate in at least two (2) Chapter programs.

  • Uphold the Chapter's governing documents and ethical standards.

  • Maintain membership in good standing.

Membership Benefits

  • Opportunities to participate in Chapter programs and advocacy initiatives.

  • Access to sisterhood, networking, and professional development opportunities available to Associate Members.

  • Opportunities to contribute to initiatives that empower Black women and girls.

  • Membership benefits in accordance with the organization's governing documents.

Membership Limitations

Associate Members are not required to meet the regular meeting attendance or committee service requirements of Regular Members. Associate Members do not have voting privileges in Chapter affairs.

Applications for 2026 are now closed.

Membership requires the approval of the Board of Directors and a majority vote of all members in good standing along with paying the applicable annual chapter dues and assessments.
