Health

Health is a vital component of a thriving community. While there have been many advancements made in medicine and in the attempts to ensure all populations receive the care they need, the disparities within the Black community in the Dallas metropolitan area are among the highest. To this end, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. - Dallas Metropolitan Chapter, in alignment with our national organization, is concerned about the well-being of the whole community and the whole person: physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our primary focus is advocacy in the areas of Family & Childhood Obesity, Cancer/Health Disparities, and Metabolic Disease.

EDUCATION

Developing Black girls and women who are empowered and equipped to achieve their learning pursuits and become powerful leaders within the Dallas metropolitan community is an instrumental part of what we, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc - Dallas Metropolitan Chapter, provide to our community. We support our national organization's goals of developing positive experiences, fostering a positive self-perception and self-respect, encouraging excellence in education, promoting the pursuit of positive lifelong goals and creating future leaders through mentorship and other programming that bring Black girls and women together with business and community leaders that can help them achieve their goals.

Economic Empowerment

Gender pay equity, affordable housing, access to proper healthcare and a lack of proper financial literacy are all things that still plague many Black women and girls in the Dallas metropolitan area. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc - Dallas Metropolitan Chapter aims to address these and many more concerns through our trademarked economic program, Sister-Nomic$. Our focus on financial literacy, family wealth building, and entrepreneurship aims to empower Black women and girls and set them on a path to achieving economic self-sufficiency.

Civic Engagement

The vision of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. is to see Black women and girls live in a world where socio-economic inequity does not exist.

The Dallas Chapter is committed to ensuring that Black women and girls not only live, but thrive in a community where socio-economic inequity does not exist. To this end, we are committed to continued engagement with our local, state and civic leaders and elevating our voices and resources to highlight our core focus and the needs of Black women and girls in our community.
